The present day church still runs on a Levitical plan of Worship and routine. We need to reevaluate all of what we do and enter into a NEW Priesthood of Melchizedek.

All creation rejoices at the appearance of SONS. We are God's representatives on earth -- we are to be the ("technon" grown-up) sons of God. For too long now, we have been sons... but not grown-up and mature.

Many statistics say that 87% of the church is disfunctional. It is extremely alarming to consider the loss of confidence and lack of realizing who we are IN CHRIST. We have not accessed our inheritance. And this is because our behavior is based on our belief system. Who are we? Who are you? What prevents us from greater influence?

Now is the hour when the Lord brings believers into maturity. Grown up sons are capable of walking in a NEW PRIESTHOOD in order to achieve His purposes on earth.

We're not talking about the popular teaching where clerical people are called "priests" and working believers are "kings." NO. The correct intrepretation is for you and me to realize that we are created to be BOTH kings and priests at the same time (Ex. 19:5-6).

Whether we work at a secular job or work in church, our ministry is that of a royal priest.

No longer can we accept the assignment of being babies in Christ... nor are we average and common. We are "peculiar" people created to be a royal priesthood.

Heb 7:1-2 For this Melchezedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, 2 to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated "king of RIGHTEOUSNESS," and then also king of Salem, meaning "king of PEACE."

Long before the Levitical priesthood was established, Melchezedek came upon the scene. Melchezedek was the first designated Kâhan which is a "priest." God Himself called him to the office, according to Heb 5:1-4; Ps 110:4. "Kâhan" = "to mediate, officiate, execute the office,. principal officer."

Abraham recognized him to be a priest, tithed to him, and took communion from him.

MELCHEZEDEK was a priest and he was also the KING of "tseddeq" which means Righteousness.

Hebrew words are built upon story or pictures. While the Greek language embraces abstract concepts, Hebrew words are rooted in the real meanings of real life. Kings have a domain. Melchezedek was king of the domain of righteousness. TSEDEQ = means:
• RIGHT INTERNAL ALIGNMENT WITH GOD’S NATURE AND HIS TRUTH
• God's ways RIGHT LIVING, BEING MORALLY RIGHT, RIGHTWISENESS, EQUITY, HEALTH, bounty, true BALANCE and PROSPERITY
• Living in a world of balance that maintains a right relationships among all things in the created order of things.
Tsedeq, comes from a Semitic word which means to be straight, firm, steel-like, as opposed to evil, To be just is to act according to one's inner being, having integrity of character. The Arabic equivalent is to be MATURE.

He was also KING over the domain of PEACE. Peace isn't just an absence from anxiety. It is the word "shalom" which means WHOLENESS or LIVING LIFE IN BALANCE with God's purposes. (See my book "Connecting" for a complete explaination of shalom.)

The STRENTH and power of the MELCHEZEDEK priesthood comes from reigning IN RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE.

The Melchzedek Priesthood has always been God's creational INTENTION for His people -- living life with a dominion rule of internal alignmnet to truth in wholeness and balance. This is the domain of our kingdom. RIGHTEOUS and PEACE.

This priesthood/kingship TRUTH was replaced by the legalistic Levitical system at the time of Moses. Jesus is waiting in the heavenlies until the resoration of all things -- He's waiting for us to come into His priesthood rule and domain over righteousness and peace.

It is not a priesthood of things to DO. It is not a priesthood with drudgery and routine.

Heb. 6:16 (Jesus) "Who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an ENDLESS indissoluble life (perpetuity or eternal life).

His is the power of an ENDLESS LIFE (KJV)
His is a priesthood “by virtue of an indestructible Life (Wey),
His is the priesthood according to the energy of an indissoluble life (Min),
But with the power of an imperishable life (Con.),
But on the basis of a power flowing from a life that cannot end (Wms),
But by virtue of a life beyond the reach of death (Tcnt).

Hebrews tells us that Jesus was a Melchezedek priest. He made us a priest like Himself.
He gives us HIS priesthood and His power -- and that priesthood is after His endless life.
His preisthood was not derived from another man -- it’s not Levitical.
His priesthood came from the LIFE OF GOD itself.
It’s the power of the priesthood that arises out of the life that lives in Him.
