The Third Day Church (3rd Day) is a broad topic used to describe what is happening in the present church movement. The ancient Catherals are empty now. Lifetimes were spent building them and now they are just site-seeing locations! But... it is no longer about a building, building plans, or another program.
Everything is changing. The imperative for us is that we be safe as we progress. Safety is a key here as we enter into the "Finished Work!" We want to adhere to accuracy of the Scriptures. We want to honor what has gone on before. There are many factors involved in this understanding of Third Day that we will discuss in this section of the website and on connecting HUBS.
The THIRD DAY is the day of resurrection – where we celebrate the the victory aof the Cross. The THIRD DAY is where we receive of the promises of God NOW in this lifetime – and learn to inherit God’s promises today instead of waiting for the sweet by and by. Scriptures follow…
My wedding day is really close… and I’m super excited. My whole life was lived for this moment. I’ve spent months bathing with fine oils and perfumes. And best of all -- look at my white dress!
We all know the wonderfully familiar story about how Mary received the Word and "brought forth the Son into the WORLD." Her supernatural encounter with the Heavenly brought the personal stigma of having what was then viewed as an illegitimate child. This Child inside of her was the Living WORD.
You really believe they drank Welch's grape juice at the Wedding in Cana. Your love to sing about being the wretch in "Amazing Grace" Your definition of “fellowship” always involves cake and ice-cream (well maybe that one is true)
No more waiting. It’s time to begin to apprehend what has already transpired. We’re called from the finished place into the BREAKTHROUGH of the dawn of this new day. Now, it is time to grasp the present truths of this ongoing Reformation.
The book of Genesis contains the seedbed of Biblical truth. The garden became the birthplace of the whole shebang! All creation and all nations began in the garden. Eternal principles such as seed time and harvest began there. Civilization emerged on the sixth day when Adam...
As we move into the new third day, we need to find a more accurate understanding of where we are going. We need a revelatory glimpse of new church and the corporate man—
"A day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day," II Peter 3:8; Psalm 90:4
This Third Thousandth Year (third millennium) since Jesus died is upon us. And this "Third Day" concept requires a "NEW Way" of having and doing church.
Really. How bad is the situation you’re facing today? I can’t even remember anymore how many times I’ve complained, “That’s it. I can’t take anymore. Life is too hard.” Surely, there have been more times than I care to admit – especially being a so called, “preacher of Faith!” Life has certainly turned out to be far more difficult than I ever imagined.
We’re now living in the time of a great restoration to the church of her original glory. That’s why we need to reconsider the fundamental view of being “born again.” Shockingly, this doctrine that we have believed IS NOT FOUND IN THE SCRIPTURES. The book of Acts tells about thousands of people getting born-again, but none of them did it by “Giving their heart to the Lord" or "Asking Jesus into their life." There’s NOT ONE example of anyone "Inviting Jesus into their heart."
Ezekiel depicts a whirlwind (Ruwach the Spirit) where the wheel within the wheel enfolds inwardly into itself, while moving forward. This represents the cooperative church moving together as one (Ezekiel 1:12). This living creature (the church), “… went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went.”
In our day, many of us have wanted to move further… past the limitations and superstitions of the still controlling mentalities that want to dictate Biblical interpretations. Up until now, most of us have tried to conform to the charismatic party line -- not wanting to “make too many waves,” not wanting to be misunderstood or identified as a rebellious misfit, or a nonconformist!
Now, in spite of our past diversions, comes the answer. What keeps us all going is that we occasionally glance into that what is to come - a bold new church arising.
It all started only a couple years ago. I began to tell my friends, “I’ve been “Born-again, again.” And it was really true! Things were different. I was not the same.
Thankfullness is a much underrated FORCE for believers. It is the MISSING LINK. Thanksgiving is the power cord to finding contentment! It is the avenue to our peace. When we TRUST God, we can be truly thankful. Godly thanksgiving give us immunity to depression, worry, envy, anger, and resentment. It heals our sorrows and disappointments.
