I keep getting these endless email newsletters full of "gloom and doom" about sure economic collapse. Prophets warn people to run to the mountains to prepare for the end of the world. They send dismal messages of hopelessness and discouragement. They speak of quiet desperation and the final pages of our time on earth.

Truth is, reality is changing fast for many of us. But, should we join the crowd of doubters, or speak the Word of God into our circumstances - calling those things that are not as though they are?

I called a pastor friend today. Asked him about this present economic situation and what message he thought his congregation needed to hear about the most! He answered that they need to learn to live like he does -- needing nothing. Why, he explained, he had only earned $4000. last year! And his church needed to learn to live that way too. That way, they could better hear the voice of God and could be humble and care for the lost... keeping their priorities right!

Curiously, in the midst of this the Lord speaks strongly to me about Kingdom success and prosperity. For me, I think we each need to find out about what we really believe what the Bible says about genuine prosperity. Unfortunately, in recent Christian experience, we know this whole concept of money and prosperity has been distorted, wrongly applied, and mis-taught. Many believers are disillusioned by self absorbed ministries who excessively taught on this topic of prosperity.

Yet, reading all of the parables of Jesus, we find that over half of them used money and finances as a teaching tool. That's indication that perhaps we should address this topic more than we do! We need to find the truth about God's intention for our lives.

"SALVATION" is not just a "get out of HELL free card." in the original Greek language, full salvation (sozo) MEANS WHOLENESS, safety, rescue, deliver, deliverance, health, prosperity, protection, freedom, liberty, peace, righteousness, and victory). Sozo means to "BE MADE WHOLE." This is an ongoing "process" of wholeness in every area of life.

Consider the character of God. Who is He IN YOU? Jesus came to give us an abundant life (Jn. 10:10). Do you have abundance in all things? God doesn't HAVE love - He IS love! He loves you and me and wants to bless us. He gives us the same inheritance as Jesus - we are joint heirs. Do you believe that the God Who lives IN YOU will bless you?

Who are YOU IN CHRIST? You are a member of the FAMILY - You ALREADY have the keys to the "car." The inheritance is yours - it is not just a promise. Adult heirs inherit now!

Where did this epidemic of poverty thinking start? Why do you lack WHOLENESS? Do you recognize the mindsets that shape your life and expectations of success? When were those lies whispered into your ear? Do you know that your attitudes about prosperity will affect your future, your kid's future and your grandchildren's future?

The question you and I should ask is, "What is the number one cause for my lack of success?"

When you were a kid, did you have grand dreams of your future. What were they? What holds you back from seeing that come to pass? Do you really know yourself and what limits you? When did your childhood hopes end? When were you conditioned for mediocrity? When were your dreams wrapped in chains?

It is said by some that 98% of all believers have had their hopes of success dashed - in nearly every area of their lives. Discouragement and dullness fogs the lens of their lives. So... what is the main reason for failure?

EXCUSES. - An excuse is a well planned lie. It keeps us from acting and saying "yes." An excuse justifies what we want to do.

Soon a great opportunity passes by. All because you're afraid to call someone, they won't understand. You're too busy. It's not the right time. You're quiet and shy. Afraid. Not good at talking to people. Don't like to drive. Want to wait till next time. It won't work anyway...

YOU MUST REVEAL YOUR EXCUSES TO YOURSELF! Why do you settle for less than your dream? What assumptions have limited your ability? It is time to find about YOU and what you believe about prosperity.

Is your main hope for success - the lottery?

Accurate realization of what has hindered brings a quick shift of perception and further transformation. Let's not just read about it, let's experience the reality of Kingdom Dominion.

Are you talents still buried in the ground? We are told in Matthew 25 that people have varying and unique talents - "ACCORDING TO THEIR ABILITY!" This ability has expectation. Ability can increase and change - you can learn new abilities.

I was talking to my ministry son Cliff Hancock yesterday - about how Christians fast for many reasons - -an Esther fast, a Daniel fast. A fast to know God and to hear from Him. A fast to worship the Lord. A fast for purity. What would happen if you declared a 40 DAY FOCUS on your future? It could be a time to find out about your motivational concepts and connect to stronger vision and goals. A time to connect to a Divine idea. A time to re-establish proper mindsets about prosperity. How about a 40 day fast from a poverty mind set? Some could have a 40 DAY FOCUS on establishing your retirement? College for your kids?

This is very good news about the Good News! No more "gloom and doom!" You can change your life forever by focusing right now on your creative ability to maximize your life and talents. Right NOW is the perfect time to empower your life and maximize your future. It's not too late.

Most believers don't comprehend the Divine power and energy available for us to access success. The vitality of confidence. The momentum of accomplishing achievement - of reaching and connecting to destiny potential. The adventure of being a winner. The Kingdom Reality of enthusiasm (en-theos, the special God inspired revelation that ignites you to be your best). The forceful velocity of prosperity. There's a Divine harmonic resonance when we comingle in this sphere of dynamic power.

Ask -- "What can God do through me?" If you really focus on your future, you will rise up and help affect change in the next generation. You can help shape your environment. You can be a demonstration of God's will extending the Kingdom. God shows up when you embrace the power to be whole.
