My friend, as a valuable part of the Body of Christ, I pray that this article will speak to you. Many in the church have reported difficult times - please know that we’re praying with you and for you.

In this time of economic tsunamis it is vital for us to understand what God is saying. We must always be led by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:14) – no matter what we hear or see (2 Cor. 5:7)!

Genesis tells us about a famine in the land when Isaac wanted to see Abimelech (the Philistine king of Gerar) and the Lord appeared saying, “Don’t go down to Egypt.” Isaac stayed and now read Genesis 26:12-18: “Then Isaac sowed in THAT land and reaped in that SAME YEAR a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.” Then, Isaac built an altar, pitched his tent, and dug a well in Beersheba (26:23).

• We find out that Isaac prospered and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. Like Isaac, you have been given a land of assignment that you are not to leave and go to the world.
• Build an altar there. Be settled and worship there.
• Remember to sow and give offerings. Don’t stop just because of difficulty! This is a time to give and to sow -- not hoard.
• Pitch your tent. Be established in the place of your assignment and take dominion over your territory.
• Follow God’s plan not yours.
• No matter what things look like, don’t quit! Dig the well again. There is water in that place.

“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (Jn. 7:24).
