Melchizedek Prosperity

Right from the start, God's purpose was to build His Kingdom on the earth with humans. In fact, He gave us the order to rule (Gen. 1:26). Truly, He had decided that this Kingdom was ours even before he made the earth...

The resurrection and the cross lets us go back to that first Garden mandate. Jesus allowed it to happen because he gave us His priesthood. Hebrews says that the “priesthood changed” (Heb. 7:12)! Many modern churches may be surprised by this, but in fact, we don't exist under the old Levitical order of things any more! Jesus intended us to have a Melchizedek Priesthood – one charged with the power of eternal life.

Our Melchizedek rule is fully expressed in us as we understand more and more.

Melchizedek: a King

Greek as a language is abstract, but Hebrew's words are full of the nitty-gritty of daily life. They embrace ideas that can be applied here and now, to what life really means.

When broken down, the Hebrew word Melchizedek (Gen. 7:1) is comprised of two parts. The first, melch, means “king.” A King rules over his kingdom, or a jurisdiction or dominion.

If we are under Melchizedek, we then asked the question, WHERE do WE RULE? WHAT do we rule over? Melchizedek's rule was of a specific KINGDOM of tsedek (or the second half of his name). Most of the time when translated, tsedek, (tsdeq, zedeq) approximates either “RIGHTEOUSNESS” or “JUSTICE.” However, if we did further, we see that there's much more meaning to it.

Tsedeq comes from a Semitic word meaning to be firm, straight, “like steel,” a determined integrity that goes to one's core. In Arabic, this means that one is fully developed, balanced and mature.

Although tsedeq is often translated to mean “judgment,” this does not mean evil retribution or a legal kind of judgment. Believers can take heart because God's Tsedeq (justice and righteousness) also incorporates RIGHT LIVING, equity, bounty, health and prosperity.

Stated most clearly, the literal of tsedeq means that one is to rule and live a LIFE of full PROSPERITY and BALANCE.

Tsedeq is the energy that brings all things into right alignment, into the created order. Thus, Melchizedek means that one totally rules over prosperity (wholeness, fullness and finances), which in turn balances the world.

We can be KINGS OF PROSPERITY

If one is to have real Melchizedek PROSPERITY, it must be demonstrated and taught. It does not mean a poverty of spirit with religious justification. This causes the Church to be all the more self-involved and focused on problems.

Tsedeq as prosperity, balance, health, maturity and right living, is our domain and must become so. This is the land we rule. If the method of our authority and rule is not firmly rooted in tsedeq, we have not fully entered our dominion.

God manages things with tsedeq (Ps 96:11). Think about that for a minute. The LORD God told Abraham, “Find me 10 righteous (tsedeq), and I will rescue Sodom.” However, not even 10 in Sodom were living their lives as fully balanced and mature beings. Not 10 in the whole city truly understood that prosperity at home this could be theirs. The question is, are there than at present?

Friends, Melchizedek is not within us. Jesus, gives us his priesthood, which in turn allows us to rule a prosperous and balanced dominion. This is how we influence the world with our rule and how we can influence the world globally. This is our sign of strength -- and how we can effectively move to occupy territories.

As we RULE the earth in Melchizedek prosperity and balance, we mandate heaven's rule. God’s KINGDOM is made on earth as we step into it.

  • God said that humans should rule the earth.
  • Jesus became our righteousness and returned us to what God intended us to be.
  • We awaken that skill to rule with tsedeq (prosperity, balance and maturity) with our faith.
  • God's Kingdom is within us and expands according to the amount of rule we are given.
  • Jesus waits in heaven until all things are restored (rule of dominion).
  • As His Kingdom rule commences on earth, His return will come more quickly.
