WHAT IS THE THIRD DAY?The THIRD DAY is the day of resurrection –where we celebrate the the victory aof the Cross. The THIRD DAY is where we receive of the promises of God NOW in this lifetime – and learn to inherit God’s promises today instead of waiting for the sweet by and by.Generally, Third Day Churches emphasize the finished work, ongoing Truth, present day reality, with apostles, prophets leading as the foundation.We can’t say that every Scripture about the 3rd Day is relevant to this topic. But, there are many to consider.
The THIRD DAY IS THE the DAY of REPRODUCTION1st mintionof THE THRID DAY: "The land produced vegetation, plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds...and there was evening and there was morning the THIRD DAY" (Gen. 1:12,13).
By the power of God’s spoken Word, formative seed-time and harvest principles were established. Seed time and harvest is a truth that we carry into this hour.
The Third Day represents the victory of incorporating the resurrection LIFE and receiving of the promises of God today. The 3rd DAY IS A DAY OF REPRODUCTING what is sown and MULTIPLIPLYING that seed that we plant.
The 3rd DAY is a DAY OF WORSHIP and PROVISIONWe see that well known story in Gen 22:4-5 & 9-14 “On the THIRD DAY Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.”
Abraham assured his servants that he and Isaac would go and “WORSHIP” upon the mountain (Moriah) and “then return.” Then, he bound Issac, his son, upon the altar, ready to offer him as a sacrificial offering.
Suddenly, an angel intervened, telling Abraham not to kill his son. Then, Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught in a thicket. He sacrificed the ram instead and called that place ‘The LORD Will Provide’ (Jehovah Jirah)."
We see here that the act of worship and finding provision is redefined on the THIRD DAY. We give all that we have to find Jirah.
This Third Day approach is not toward having more meetings, or just changing the programs… it is ongoing and growing change towards achieving an ever-increasing reality of the Scriptures.

The Father God sacrificed His only Son and “…God RAISED HIM UP on the THIRD DAY and showed him openly” On that upmost THIRD DAY of resurrection, Jesus became both the lamb and the SON -- our total PROVISION. Romans 8:11 tells us that IF that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken (vitalize, make alive) your mortal bodies. THE 3rd DAY is a DAY OF PURITY, READINESS, and SHAKING
Ex 19:10-11 "Go to the people and consecrate (set them apart) them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes and BE READY by the THIRD DAY, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. On the morning of the THIRD DAY there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled" (NIV).
Go in and take the LAND.
The THIRD DAY is all about acquisition of LAND.
God says, "This is a forceful day of visitation. The THIRD DAY CHURCH becomes more of a participatory style, where the cumulative force and collective cooperation of the Group becomes the disctintion. Sure, there a leaders with spiritual authority… but no longer are these leaders in arrogant heirachy. The THIRD DAY IS A DAY of AUTHORITY and LEADERSHIP(Josh 3:1-5) “Early in the morning (in 625 BC) Joshua and all the Israelites went to the Jordan (we all must come to the place of descent), where they camped BEFORE CROSSING OVER (evar = penetrate into, impregnate).”
The Israelites had been at this same place 40 years before -- and had failed. Now this time, they returned with total commitment. They were determined to PENETRATE this Promised Land.
Joshua continues, “After three days (the THIRD DAY) the officers (the official leaders) went throughout (CROSSED OVER, evar) the camp giving orders to the people.” From this scripture we understand another truth about the 3rd DAY. The focused task is to IMPREGNATE others with the message of the Gospel. Third Day people lead the way and become the firstfruit expression of His character on this earth. They prepare themselves for the purpose of taking over cities. THE THIRD DAY IS A DAY OF BOLDNESS and FAVOR
Esther 5:1-3 after months of preparation, it was on the THIRD DAY Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the INNER COURT of the palace… When the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased… and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand… Then the king asked, "What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you" (NIV. see also Is. 62:2-4). The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY OF HIS APPEARING:Hosea 6:2-3 tells us more …”On the THIRD DAY, He will restore us (raise us up), that we may LIVE IN HIS PRESENCE. Your mission, if you’re willing to take it, is to LIVE in His presence in this 3rd DAY OF HIS APPEARING. The verse goes on to say, “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will APPEAR. He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth" (NIV). The Resurected Lord resurrects within a people – HE APPEARS in us and to us. He is like rain that waters our earth. The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY OF BUILDING THE TEMPLE:Ezra 6:15 The temple was completed on the THIRD DAY. The third day will be the day when the corporate church body functions in the likeness of His resurrection (power) (Rom. 6:5). Essentially, the third day speaks of resurrection. We the church, move out of death and into LIFE. The substance and manifestation of the THIRD DAY is this… God raises up His answer!! Maturity is upon us. God is out looking for the God in us! The maturity to conceive this new era. We’ve been chosen to LIVE as part of God’s vital current plan. How do we become the 3rd Day church? By exemplifying that NEW CREATION. By preparing ourselves By exemplifying the fruit of the Spirit! By being “Overcomers” It is a time of great difficulty. It is a time for us to endure and take charge. The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY OF THE BEST WINE. IT IS ALSO THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING:John 2:1-10 On the THIRD DAY a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus, his mother, and the disciples where there. The wine ran out… and Jesus made more. And then it was said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now." (NIV)
The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY OF HEALING AND MIRACLES---- Gen 42:18, “On the THIRD DAY, Joseph said to them, ‘Do this and you will live, for I fear (have awesome reverence for) God.’” NIV 2 Kings 20:5 tells us about how Hezekiah was dying. The Word of the Lord came to Hezekah, “Turn again…. I have heard thy payer, I have seen thy tears; behold, I will heal thee: on the THIRD DAY thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord (also 2 Ki. 20:8). This is a pivitol Scripture showing us that we obtain healing and the ability to go UP INTO the house of God. The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY OF PERSERVENCE 1 Sam 30:1 David and his men reached Ziklag on the THIRD DAY. NIV All was gone, and the people wanted to stone David for their losses. But, in the midst of this trial, the Lord God enabled victory by saying, "Pursue, overtake, and recover all." ==================== Beloved, it is time to reach out for MORE… The THIRD DAY IS THE DAY TO:
