Kluane (Kloo-ah'nee) is the name of a national park in the Yukon, Canada. Her dad mined for Gold in the Yukon and delivered mail by dog team from Haines Junction to Kluane Lake in the  in the early days before roads went there in the arctic winter. She and her husband raised their children in Alaska and then moved to Guam for fourteen years. They now live in Atlanta, GA.
